Says 'unable to connect to EA servers'

I have just bought the game and every time i try go online to ultimate team and career mode it says 
'sorry, it appears the ea servers are currently down we are working to address the problem' however i've checked on the EA website, it says it is up, i've used another account, ejected the game, redownloaded it in full, restarted my xbox and its still the same issue
