Steam ID linked to unauthorized @rambler.ru account

Hello EA Community Managers,

 

I am writing here because I have hit a complete brick wall with front-line live chat support regarding a major account-linking error on the EA backend, and I desperately need a supervisor or account specialist to review my case.

 

Issue Summary:

I recently purchased EA SPORTS FC 26 on Steam. This is my first time attempting to play an EA game on this Steam account. However, when trying to launch the game, the EA App forces a login verification screen showing that my Steam ID is permanently linked to an unauthorized, fraudulent EA account ending in "@rambler.ru" (la*****@rambler.ru). I have never seen, owned, or associated with this Russian email address.

 

The Support Loop:

I opened a support ticket and initiated a live chat. Unfortunately, the front-line agent followed a rigid account-recovery script. They refused to help me or drop the link unless I could provide the creation date, purchase history, and IP address of the hacker's "rambler.ru" account. Obviously, I cannot provide security details for a fraudulent account that stole my Steam link.

 

My Evidence of Ownership:

I am the 100% legal owner of the trapped Steam account. I have the following proofs ready to upload instantly:

1. Official Valve/Steam invoice and Transaction ID for my purchase of FC 26.

2. Unedited desktop screenshots of my Steam Account Details page showing my SteamID64 and matching account names.

3. Proof that my actual, legitimate EA Account (the one I am posting from right now) works perfectly on Xbox/Epic but is blocked from linking to Steam due to this rogue ghost link.

 

Can a Community Manager please pull my open case out of the automated front-line queue and escalate this to a specialist who can manually unlink this fraudulent EA account from my Steam ID?

 

My details for the case file:

- My SteamID: [Ready to share with EA Staff]

- My Real Primary Email: [Ready to share with EA Staff]

    If you have spoken with our live support team and they have been unable to assist you then there would not be anything that we on the forums can do to change this.

    We can't discuss an account without verifying ownership with the owner and account verification is something that we cannot do here.

    Have you spoken with Steam support to see if there has been an issue with your Steam account, is it secure or has someone else have access to it?

    From an EA perspective, what I would recommend is to take a look at the EA help article around compromised accounts here

    It has all the info and links you need to assist with getting back into your account.

    While you have already spoken with our live support team and I know that they have advised that they cannot assist, the best thing I can recommend is to go and gather as much additional info as possible.

    Once done, get it all together and open a new case with our team and explain the situation to them.

    I know it is not what you want to hear when posting here on the forums but it's the best way that you can get the issue sorted.
