The game froze during the last play of the match

The game froze near the end of the match, for me and for my opponent. The game unfroze for me because I was just taking a corner kick, but my opponent didn't move for the rest of the match. I couldn't access the pause menu, and when the match ended, the menu to return to the home screen didn't appear. I waited 10 minutes and restarted the game. It marked me as defeated when I won by a margin of 4 goals.
