I stopped playing the Thunderstruck Event 4 at 5:30pm December 5th, since then, every game I’ve tried to play, after the final whistle I am kicked out of Ultimate Team and a pop up saying that there’s an issue connecting to EA Servers and it gives me a disconnect warning
I did the same, and that issue started for me. Same time, same game mode, same error. I might try and uninstall the game and reinstall it see if that works

I have just reported the same issue, and it continued with other game modes too. This game is horrendous and unplayable.
Last night an EA support account mentioned that this is happening due to a “safety limit per day” and try again after 24 hours. Apparently we have played too many games in a day due to quick Thunderstruck event and EA did not like their game being played this much. I will get back and update if it is fixed when my 24 hrs is up.
If anyone from EA reading this, limit it if you want but at least inform your players about it and block entering game modes instead of allowing them to play games and waste their time just to be kicked out at the end.
Thank you! I have no problem with the daily limit thing, I get it. I did manage to get through like 70 games because of that game mode but just give us a reasoning on screen rather then leave us in limbo
It is fixed after 24 hrs for me.
