Hello, I am still experiencing the error "You have more than one storage device with a FC 26 profile. Please select a storage device to load from." on my Nintendo Switch 2.
I dont have a microSD card and already restarted the console, I remove the game card and put it back again, reinstalling the game, disabling cloud sync, and testing a new user profile — it works that way but i want it working on my main account/main user profile.
The issue prevents me from loading my game and i have a save file i dont want to loose; when I press A, it never advances. Please advise on how to resolve this issue or release a patch/update to fix it. - Shik243 months agoNew Novice

I have tried that last year and it wasn’t possible to save corrupted files. I am sorry to tell you but you have to delete your files and restart from 0…

Subject: Corrupt save profile – cannot load game (PS5 Pro)
Hello EA Support Team,
I’m encountering a persistent error on PlayStation 5 Pro with EA SPORTS FC 26:
- Every time I attempt to load the game I receive the prompt:
“You have more than one storage device with the FC26 profile. Please select the storage device to load from and press OK.” - Pressing OK does nothing — the game freezes on that prompt and will not load any save.
- I have deleted the synced (cloud) save via PS5 settings and attempted to launch offline using only the local save — same result.
- I have also tried the reverse: deleted the local save and re-uploaded the cloud save — still the same outcome.
- The only way I can play at all is to delete both the local and cloud saves, create a completely new save, and start fresh. However, every time I save the game and restart it later, that new save becomes corrupted again, repeating the cycle.
- This issue started suddenly even though the game was running fine earlier in the day.
Platform: PlayStation 5 Pro
Game version: Latest
Steps I have already tried:
- Deleted cloud save and launched offline (local only)
- Deleted local save and uploaded cloud version
- Deleted both saves and started a new profile
- Rebuilt PS5 database via Safe Mode
- Fully rebooted console (not Rest Mode)
Expected behaviour: The game should load normally using a single valid save file (local or cloud).
Actual behaviour: The game always triggers the “multiple storage device” prompt, and every new save eventually becomes corrupted on restart.
Impact: The game is unplayable; no progress can be saved or resumed.
Please investigate this and, if necessary, reset or repair my EA SPORTS FC 26 cloud profile so I can continue playing. Screenshots of the error prompt can be provided if required.
Thank you for your help,
- Every time I attempt to load the game I receive the prompt:

This is the EA mistake. They need to fix it. For the price of the game, it's simply not worth it compared to others.

Bro we are waiting since 2 months for them to fix that and I have hash tagged a community manager so they will fix it quickly. same problem since last year, some say even two years. I am just waiting so I can play career mode. On YouTube people are giving bad critics and saying they are done. Honestly I am disappointed. I reported the bug since preorder and they didn’t fix it yet…. I ll try to retagEA_Vendcera
Hope you can fix that guys? I want to play career mode…

Platform:
Xbox Series X
Game Mode:
Manager Career Mode + Player Career Mode
Description of Issue:
Every couple of days, my Career Mode progress in EA FC 26 gets completely deleted after I get the message:
“You have more than one storage device with an EA FC 26 profile.”
To try and fix it, I’ve been deleting local save data from the Xbox menu (“Manage game and add-ons ->Saved data -> Delete from console”) and then letting it re-sync from the cloud. But whenever I do this, my Career Mode progress disappears entirely — it resets as if I’ve never played.
This issue repeats about every two days or so. Sometimes my data stays safe, but other times all progress is wiped, and I can’t recover it from the cloud.
Steps to Reproduce:
- Launch EA FC 26 on Xbox
- Play Career Mode normally and save progress
- After 1–2 days, on startup the message “You have more than one storage device with a FC26 profile” appears
- Delete local data (“Delete from console”) to try to fix the message
- Game reloads with all Career Mode saves gone — nothing is restored from the cloud
Frequency:
Every ~2 days
What I’ve Tried:
Deleting local data and re-syncing from the cloud
Reinstalling EA FC 26
Turning off Quick Resume
Logging out and back into Xbox account
None of these have permanently fixed the issue.
Impact:
I’ve lost multiple Career Mode saves and hours of progress. The game becomes unplayable long-term because saves randomly disappear.
It seems like the error is linked to how Xbox syncs local and cloud storage for EA FC 26 profiles.
Additional Info:
Xbox Gamertag: L0rdFarquaad#495
Request:
Please escalate this issue to the EA FC 26 dev team. I’d like confirmation if a fix or patch is being worked on for Xbox players affected by this “More Than One Storage Device” bug and guidance on how to prevent further Career Mode save loss.
