Your opponent has left the match glitch rivals fc26

Whenever I try to play rivals on fc26 I get the message "your opponent has left the match" it always seems to happen when there's about 15 seconds remaining. Sometimes backing out of the game and back in fixes it but recently that hasn't been working, I haven't been able to play a game of rivals in days. This glitch has been taking place all of last year and this year and it only happens in the old gen version of the game on rivals and champs bur not other game modes. I've seen multiple discussions opened about this over many years but you still haven't replied to anyone or fixed it we're just being ignored. Please tell me if there's a way to fix it or make an effort to fix it yourself it's very frustrating.
