EA is nerfing live events

This is the second time this week I'm unable to complete the S3 Evo Tournament Cup. I lose my first 3 attempts because of some scrappy game mechanics and unlucky bounces. When I finally get a win, the game can't find an opponent in the next stage of the tournament. It looks like I'm going to have to start from the beginning tomorrow.

I guess not enough people are buying packs in the store. I've mentioned the game is pay to win, but now it's also pay to receive rewards.
