FC 26 Ultimate Team – Ongoing Gameplay Inconsistency and Player Response
I would like to share some concerns regarding FC 26 Ultimate Team that many long-term players are currently experiencing.
I have been playing EA football titles for over 10 years, and what is happening in FC 26 goes beyond normal gameplay variation. This is not a connection issue, not related to tactics, and not a skill gap. I have a stable wired connection with low ping, yet these problems appear in some matches and completely disappear in others played at the same time.
The most common issues are:
- Inconsistent physical performance, especially in duels, where players lose challenges despite higher stamina and physical attributes.
- Unreliable automatic player switching, often selecting the wrong player.
- Poor AI positioning, with off-ball players leaving their positions and opening spaces.
The inconsistency is the most frustrating part. Using the same team, tactics, and connection, one match feels heavily unresponsive while the next feels completely different. For a competitive and monetized mode like Ultimate Team, this seriously affects fairness and enjoyment.
EA’s current approach of treating these reports as general feedback without clear explanation or transparency leaves players with limited options. Until there is proper acknowledgment or meaningful improvement, many players may reasonably choose to pause spending, reduce playtime, or step away from the mode entirely as a way to express dissatisfaction.
Constructive feedback is important, but so is accountability. A fair and consistent gameplay experience should be the minimum expectation.
