Future Stars Issue

Hi Folks, 

In regards to Future Stars Academy , I noticed there was a Debut Contract to sign a player, I used this on a Silver Nico O'Reilly ,

Completed the objectives via Squad Battles but there wasn't much associated attribute boosts, no base playstyles, no position upgrades ...

Now before anyone says I should've used a Future Stars Academy Player , why was the Silver Nico O'Reilly eligible ,

If anyone can shed light to this, I'd appreciate it
