Loan players in Gauntlet when people leave

As some people want to min-max the Gauntlet objectives, people tend to pause the game instantly after kick-off to leave, I presume this is to get the game played without any goal scored.

However, on my end when the game finishes I am left without either a win or a loss, or a game played in the Gauntlet - the problem is that my loan players lose a game on their contract. So as I have some players for 5 games, after having people leave three times I lost three potential games on these players. As my squad isn't as big as others I have to rely on these loan players to manage the Gauntlet games.
