Pack luck based on where you live and is not random

I have been discussing an issue with an EA advisor regarding the current TOTW pack issue and he has confirmed more than once that your pack luck is increased based on the server/region you're playing in.

I find this baffling because I have friends who have some of the most incredible luck and I get shafted. My new favourite person Richik has now confirmed that my luck is based on the region and server which means that if you're on the wrong server or in the wrong region you're getting scammed. I have attached the conversation.

Personally find this is wild for someone who works for EA to admit

  • Hey xoWoolley,

These probabilities are the same for everyone as you can find with the "View Pack Probabilities" option in-game on relevant packs.

This advisor is saying there is no individual or account "pack luck", not that it changes from one server or region to the next. The game(what they're referencing as the server) determines the odds of receiving a particular item, which is seen in the "View Pack Probabilities" option. It's not affected or influenced by an individual account.

You can see more information about this here for official details on the system. Advisors would not have any special or separate insight into how this works I'm afraid, sorry for any confusion.

After checking over the full chat with that advisor, it does look like they had provided the correct information multiple times. These screenshots appear to be extremely selective and leave out quite a bit of the relevant information and clarification provided throughout the chat.

Locking the thread here, please feel free to leave feedback as mentioned previously if you had issues with the way that chat was handled.

xoWoolley I don't have any information on that currently, but I do on how this system works. That's really it.

I couldn't tell you why a different person would phrase things as they had, but please feel free to head back through your case history page if you'd like to leave feedback on a specific advisor or chat. This works as described in the actual article I've linked above, anyone stating otherwise is mistaken I'm afraid.

I would like you to explain 2 things to me. Why have you so quickly come to the defence of your co worker who has clearly stated something very differently. He said what he said either he is an incompetent or he is telling the truth and you're covering for him. I would ask for you to explain why he has said what he has said to me?

But when I make a post about opening a TOTW pack today and getting gold cards you're not bothered. Double standards is concerning trying to cover up what he said but you cant even be arsed to look elsewhere or address any other issues that are raised
