Unfair Losses from Crashes/Disconnects – System Needs Revision
I’ve just missed out on 8 wins (and a guaranteed Titans pack) due to 3 matches that were not legitimately lost:
2 matches ended due to disconnects
1 match ended due to a confirmed game crash (video proof available)
All 3 were recorded as losses.
This highlights a deeper issue with how match results are handled:
Right now, the system treats all disconnects and crashes as losses, regardless of context. That may protect against abuse, but it also penalizes legitimate players when the game or servers fail.
Key problem:
There is no distinction between:
Server-side issues
Game crashes
Player-initiated disconnects
Suggested improvements:
If a crash is detected client-side (especially with logs), the match should be voided, not counted as a loss.
If a disconnect occurs while a player is leading, there should at least be a review flag or partial protection system.
Repeated crash patterns should be trackable on EA’s side—this isn’t untraceable.
This isn’t about getting free wins. It’s about not being punished for failures outside player control.
Right now, the system is overly simplistic and harms legitimate players in competitive modes.
Would like to hear if others are experiencing the same—especially around crashes being counted as losses.
