Easy Visual-Only Cinematic VAR Update for 3 Incidents in FC 27
Thank you EA dev team for your continuous hard work in improving the game. We sincerely hope you support and implement these suggestions in FC 27 and future editions to enhance Career Mode realism and meet the community's expectations. Full support to you, and we look forward to your next updates.
We propose implementing VAR and advanced physicality strictly as "Pre-rendered Cinematic Sequences & Visual Assets", focusing on VAR specialization for the 3 specific incidents explained below. This approach is highly feasible and easy to implement, acting as a visual overlay. To break repetition, referee and player animations must dynamically vary in every scenario (walking to the pitchside monitor in some cases, consulting the linesman in others, while keeping earpiece communication enabled in all situations
Incident 1: Offside Goal Decisions (Visual Overlay Only):
Logic: The engine detects offside instantly, but we suggest letting the goal celebration finish completely first.
Cinematic Asset: Trigger opponent protest animation ◄ The scene dynamically varies: (The referee either touches his earpiece to communicate instantly, runs to consult the assistant referee, or walks to the pitchside monitor displaying "Checking VAR" on stadium screens) ◄ Trigger pre-rendered offside line replay ◄ Disallow the goal with diverse angry player reactions.
2. Incident 2: Handballs & Fouls Inside the Penalty Box (Delayed Decision Cutscene)
Logic: Instead of an instant automated penalty whistle, delay the call by a few seconds to play a variable visual sequence
Cinematic Asset: Trigger player appeal and protest animations ◄ The referee's behavior changes cynically per incident: (Always uses earpiece communication, while occasionally walking to the pitchside monitor or visually consulting the linesman) ◄ Play a slow-motion replay asset of the handball/foul ◄ Penalty is officially awarded.
Incident 3: Reckless & Illegal Violent Challenges / Red Card Upgrades (Visual Decision Upgrade):
Logic: Following a harsh illegal tackle, the referee initially flashes a yellow card (as a programmed baseline decision).
Cinematic Asset: Players loudly protest the card ◄ Referee maintains earpiece contact in all scenarios, but the animation varies between running to the pitchside monitor or discussing with the assistant referee ◄ Show a visual slow-motion replay showcasing the severity of the reckless tackle ◄ Referee rescinds the yellow card and flashes a direct red card with varied team reactions.
4. Pre-Programmed Corner Kick Physicality:
Easy Implementation: Inject localized, pre-programmed visual animations during corner kicks (pushing, pulling, and illegal minor scuffles/fights) to simulate real-life intensity without affecting ball physics code.
