I can't play head to head with WiFi only mobile data

I don't understand why Everytime I try to play head to head with my wifi after I have seen my opponents captain and I press ready, instead of the game to show downloading it would only be showing connecting to server and I wouldn't be able to play the match again but when I use my mobile data it shows downloading and the match works I don't know why
