Thanks for trying these steps. It doesn’t currently look like a widespread server issue affecting everyone. It’s more likely related to the connection between your ISP/network and the game servers during peak times.
Here are a few extra things you could try as well :
- Restart the iPad completely
- Make sure iPadOS is updated
- Temporarily disconnect other devices using the Wi-Fi
- Contact your ISP and ask if they’re seeing congestion, packet loss, or routing issues on weekends
- Reset Network Settings on the iPad
(Settings > General > Transfer or Reset iPad > Reset > Reset Network Settings)
- If possible, briefly test another connection or even a hotspot to compare
