Persistent Control and Input Responsiveness Issues in Fc Mobile
Persistent Gameplay Input Failures, Unresponsive Controls, and Unintended Player Actions in FC Mobile
Dear EA SPORTS FC Mobile Development and Technical Support Teams,
I am writing to formally raise serious concerns regarding persistent gameplay control and input responsiveness issues in FC Mobile. These problems significantly affect my ability to control my players during matches, particularly in Head-to-Head (H2H) gameplay.
I want to make one thing absolutely clear: this is not simply a complaint about losing matches, player ratings, or the difficulty of the game. It is a complaint about the game's responsiveness to player input and whether the controls are consistently executing the actions players actually request.
I have experienced the following problems:
1. Delayed or unregistered button inputs
There are occasions when I press buttons such as CLEAR, but my defenders do not respond promptly or appear not to execute the requested action at all. I may press the button repeatedly while the situation continues to deteriorate because the game does not respond as expected.
In a competitive match, a delayed clearance can be the difference between safely removing the ball from danger and conceding a goal.
Players should not have to repeatedly press a control in the hope that the intended action will eventually register.
2. Unintended sliding and defensive actions
I have experienced instances in which my players slide unexpectedly, even when I have not deliberately pressed the sprint-and-tackle controls to initiate that action.
This is particularly concerning because unintended sliding can take a defender out of position, leave gaps in the defence, and create opportunities for the opponent.
The game should distinguish accurately between the actions a user requests and actions the game executes. Unexpected player actions undermine that fundamental expectation.
3. Delayed player reactions and recovery animations
Another issue is the apparent delay between issuing a command and seeing the player respond. Players sometimes take too long to react, execute the intended action, or recover after sliding and get back into position.
These prolonged reactions can leave players vulnerable while the opponent continues attacking.
I have also observed similar responsiveness issues affecting opponents during matches. While I cannot determine the precise technical cause, this raises a question about whether some of these problems may extend beyond my own device or controls.
4. Defensive controls that fail at critical moments
The CLEAR command is one example, but my concern extends to the general reliability of gameplay controls.
Defending requires timely reactions. When a player cannot reliably execute a clearance, move as directed, or recover from an unintended action, the user loses meaningful control over the outcome of the situation.
This is especially frustrating in H2H, where the timing of individual actions can determine the result of an entire match.
5. The cumulative effect on competitive gameplay
These issues are not merely cosmetic inconveniences. They directly affect gameplay, create avoidable frustration, and undermine confidence in the competitive experience.
I understand that football games involve mistakes, imperfect decisions, player attributes, PlayStyles, and differences in skill. I am not asking for guaranteed victories, easier opponents, or an advantage over other players.
I am asking for the controls to respond reliably and for players to execute the actions commanded by the user, subject to the game's intended mechanics.
There is an important distinction between losing because an opponent makes better decisions and losing because a control does not appear to register or a player performs an unintended action.
Players should be able to trust the controls even when they are under pressure.
WHAT I AM REQUESTING FROM EA
I request that the development and technical teams:
1. Investigate reports of delayed, missed, or unregistered gameplay inputs, particularly defensive commands such as CLEAR.
2. Investigate unintended sliding and other player actions that appear to occur without the corresponding user input.
3. Examine player response times, recovery animations, and the delays between user commands and in-game actions.
4. Evaluate whether these issues are associated with particular devices, operating conditions, network conditions, gameplay modes, or other technical factors.
5. Test these problems under realistic H2H match conditions, where delayed reactions and failed inputs can materially affect gameplay.
6. Provide a substantive response explaining whether these issues are known, what steps are being taken to investigate them, and what information affected players can provide to assist the investigation.
I am not asking for a generic acknowledgement that feedback is appreciated. I am asking for these specific technical concerns to be documented, investigated, and addressed where defects are identified.
A competitive football game depends on the relationship between user input and player response. When that relationship becomes unreliable, the integrity and enjoyment of the gameplay experience suffer.
Please take this complaint seriously and escalate it to the appropriate team responsible for gameplay controls and responsiveness.
I remain open to providing further details about my device and the circumstances in which these issues occur if they are needed for a meaningful investigation.
Thank you for your attention. I look forward to a substantive response.
Yours faithfully,
A concerned FC Mobile player
