This was fed back to the dev some time ago and is being looked into. Not an easy fix because it taps into the general gameplay. I've also raised the charging-out GK in panic, which costs you a lot of preventable goals (and subsequent losses).
Ryt now i feel like those are stickers wy u didn't add the option tht on console 😔 we need to tell our players wat to to advanced forward and buld up or pullback plus defend 😀 this wat i really need cm box to box 📦 plus defend
I can't add anything to the game because I do not work for EA, heh. I am a community mod (Hero+ on EA forums means that), so I can only send my feedback as well as see some of the feedback sent to the devs via the MODs channel, but I have no view of how thats being acted upon until it lands live in the game.
Anyway, there has been plenty of chatter on the matter about the gameplay and the AI assist portion, so as per my previous comment with the playstyles being officially tested, I hope that they will add it, because it will be a very useful and positive update (I dislike that assist, it doesn't understand football the way I do, so yeah, IMO it does dumb things half the time, haha). What happens remains to be seen. WC is coming, so yeah, there is hope.
