Horrible (first) touches

I'm having the same problems. I've already racked up 10 losses in 10 games. My attack just stops when I'm on the counterattack; the opposing players run right through my defenders as if they were ghosts. I have no control over the players... I've disabled the AI and still have problems. 

Broken gameplay (passes, touches, GK rush/dropping ball, and so on) has been a problem for many since the Anniversary was dropped. It was fed back to EA through various posts here and general rants on other platforms, but we have not seen anything official from them on the 3 key issues with the game (add lagging out of games, matchmaking outside of your divisions, or these timing out altogether)

We need a reset.

Elaborate on reset?

The past seasonal reset will not fix gameplay. We need gameplay bugs fixes and overhaul that removes crazy logic.

What EA need to do is play their own game to see what's wrong with it. I'd love to see an EA dev take on the Weekend Challenge mode with a generic 2 week old account. Hell, I'd even prep the account for them to use!

Watched the video. It leans a little bit into conspiracy theory territory, but I do agree with one thing — EA is definitely he’ll bent on monetizing our attention span and driving us toward the Store to part us from our money. It’s definitely not about producing a stellar video game (like in the old days). It’s now about providing just enough of a dopamine hit to keep players hooked, but not a drop more. It’s a race to the bottom from a gamer perspective and it’s absolute torture as a football fan to see them wring the life out of a sport we love.

Yeah, I’m -7 wins (from a high of +30 FC Champions) in just the last week and a half. It’s plainly clear that my 116 OVR players (like Son) were nerfed as they are suddenly slower, clumsier, and just generally way less effective. I used to regularly collect 10-12 goals in every VSA match and now struggle to get to double-digits. The last match I just played Son blew two good chances — once by running past a cross that was right on the money (as if he didn’t even see it!), and once by inexplicably coming to a dead stop with ball the in the penalty area and allowing the defender to overtake him. In neither case did I have any control over the outcome — it was EA screwing me.

It seems abundantly clear that, in addition to the fundamental problems with the mechanics of the game (which are most evident in H2H), EA regularly nerfs formerly top players in order to prevent attribute “creep.” For example, without a season reset we’re soon going to see players with pace of 220-250. If these players were literally twice as fast as their predecessors a year ago then the game would be extremely difficult to play/manage. Thus, it stands to reason that every month or so EA MUST be “re-benchmarking” top players and nerfing their performance (without changing the underlying stats) to make “room” for newer stars (with higher stats) to take their place as the fastest/quickest, most skilled players.

Most of us play VSA everyday (on the order of 5x-10x per day) and know it to be the most stable and consistent (if boring/repetitive) of the user vs user gameplay formats. We have a large sample size and are very familiar with how our players/teams perform and, thus, we are very attuned to changes (even subtle ones) in player/team performance. That is why I can say with high confidence that something has changed — and it’s not my performance (or that of any of the other posters in here). EA is tweaking things behind the scenes and effectively handicapping users who don’t have the newest/best players in their lineup.

I know it may look like conspiracy theorie but 😂 we all know is true. Its at least strange not to be able to pass a certain number of stars (same number) for days in a row when playing against people with unranked and untrained players. They think they are smart but everyone can see the pattern.  We win a match, draw the second and loose the third, over and over again for days in a row until they decide it's ok to go to the next level. I've been kept to 33 stars all week and last night in ten matches I won 8 and got to 40 stars.

And you know what bothers me the most? The fact that is not a fun game anymore because not make sense, there is no logic. Lower player/teams outrun me or dribble through my defence( sometime doing 3-4 dribllings in a row) and when you check their profile they are two star players. 

Same old tactics that they boost/make meta. Untill now they had the 4222, now they changed to 433 attack. The same left back running in the wing, leaving empty spaces allthow the ball it's on the other part of the pitch, the same left back moving into a CDM position or coming as a second defender allthow I didn't ask for it. 

Defenders moving slightly to one side when selected to leave space for the strikers, CDMs with high defence/med att going into the box... 

In attack, everything is random, with formations acting differently from game to game.

And result is decided by how your team decides to perform and doesn't allow us to build a competitive/winning formation based on our skills and style of play.
