The point for me is: why the United States? A country with no real standing in football that has never produced a standout player.
I want Brazil, Italy, France, Germany, Argentina. Nations that truly embody the spirit of football.

Come on, I think everyone is getting tired of the same cards. Maradona, Ronaldo, Pirlo, Mbappé, Rudiger — cards that appear in every event, yet they’re almost exclusively pay to win. We need change! The love for the game exists in the US and in the rest of Latin America. EA should rethink their strategy to also incorporate the other half of the world. A common American never watched Dunga or Matuidi play, but ask them about Donovan and they’ll know. I think it’s a step towards the right direction.

The average American doesn't even know where Brazil is. But you have a point. I agree that the repetition of cards is really tiresome. However, there are other cards featuring real-life stars that haven't appeared in the game yet.
Have you heard of the “King of Rome”? Or maybe a duo like Bebeto and Romário. There are plenty of great, legendary players the game could include. - Goravens511 month agoNewcomer
This would be so cool like why does ea not make an “unsung hero’s” or “Local legends” event where they take players overshadowed or just not as well known and put them in the game and make them high rated. Sure it would take some money to licence players so they won’t do it but man if ea wasn’t so greedy

On that token, Mexico would be a much better fit. Speaking of the other nations that had great stories similar to Croatia in 1998 or recent Cups, it would be nice to see the following additions:
- Poland 1974 with suggested icons - Deyna, Lato (top goal scorer), or even Boniek for 1982, who used to be in the World XI before that got converted to Icons.
- Cameroon 1990 - Roger Milla (the dance in the corner by the flag, haha) & N'Kono
- Bulgaria 1994 - apart from Stoichkov - Trifon Ivanov, Letchkov, Kostadinov
- Nigeria, both 1994/1998. Yes, Kanu/JJ are already in the game, but the likes of Yekini, Oliseh, West were key in that team.
- Hungary 1954, Puskas could use some company like Kocsis (11 goals in the tourney), defo one of the best teams of that era.
- Morocco, both 1986/2022, especially 1986, was big as they were the first African team to reach the round of 16.
- New Zealand 1982 - mostly amateurs and some semi-pros who made it to the World Cup, Wynton Rufer could definitely get an icon/hero card too, as that tourney kicked off his career.
- Uruguay - 1st WC winners, the Brazilians upset in 1950, claiming 2nd win. Rebirth of the golden generation with Forlan/Suarez/Godin.
Lastly, as some said, more currency needs to be given out through grind, else it's kinda pointless to have an event where getting any half-decent card that isn't even top OVR anymore is behind a paywall.- 11DeadlyKnights1 month agoRising Ace

FIFA doesn't even care about this game. And that's painfully obvious.

of course they don't, EA lost the rights 2 years ago. And they are developing their own game.
