What’s with VSA possessions that feel rigged?
It’s been going on for a few months now, but I’ve just played a string of VSA matches that were absolutely infuriating. It seems every time I’m up by a couple of goals I encounter a possession (sometimes more than one) where my players exhibit bizarre behavior that’s entirely inconsistent with their play on prior possessions. For example, a player will hit a cross that’s 150% overpowered and flies past the intended recipient, or I’ll make a skill move (with Mbappe no less) and he runs forward without the ball (even though the defender has not touched him OR the ball), or my shooter will blast over from 12 yds out despite the fact that I used the same weight/power that I’ve used on the last 50 shots that were all on frame. The most egregious example was on my final shot of a recent match (that would have won me the game) where the ball that hit BOTH posts . And to top it off none of my players followed the shot to tap it in.
How is this much “randomness” possible? How can some possessions bear NO RESEMBLANCE whatsoever to all the others? If this is supposed to be the coders way of creating difficulty it feels completely arbitrary and unrealistic and it’s SUPER frustrating because it has NOTHING to do with my skill level or execution. It also doesn’t come across as my opponent’s defense playing tougher (which would be the most realistic way to simulate difficulty). Instead, it’s just bizarre, completely arbitrary, unforced errors that make no football sense and are totally infuriating to boot. Please, please, please, ratchet down the random error rate (or whatever the heck the coders wanna call it) and make user skill actually matter again.
