The old, potentially overloaded servers versus the home internet/WiFi issues debate.

I've explained the network side of things (see the link below) – this might help you understand some of the challenges across the board. This isn't to excuse EA, but there are many factors outside of EA's control that most players may not realize. That said, EA could improve server dimensioning, as issues become noticeable during weeks when VSA/H2H is part of the daily/weekly quest/grind.
