Madden points on wrong Gen

Purchased 24000 madden points from Gamestop entered the code on through the menu on madden  on the xbox series S. It then put the points on the old gen Xbox so im out $200 worth of point.

    • PSN ID/Gamertag:
    • Are you getting an error message?
    • Do you have the last-gen or current gen version installed?
    • Do you play on both a last-gen and current-gen console?
    • Have you recently logged into the last-gen version?
    • Is anything else happening?

    We can use this information, to help make the team aware of the issue and to further investigate.

    • Are you getting an error message? No
    • Do you have the last-gen or current gen version installed? Have both installed now.
    • Do you play on both a last-gen and current-gen console? Current-Gen
    • Have you recently logged into the last-gen version? Yes to see if the points where on there which they are,
    • Is anything else happening? No everything is working fine

    The date you purchased points: 17th august (12000 MUT Points)

    Are you getting an error message: No

    Have you played on Last Gen and Current Gen?: Just current Gen but downloaded old gen afterwards to confirm that they had gone onto old gen
    Did you log into both generations prior to getting the points? No
    Have you received all or a portion of the points on one platform? (if so, which platform) Received 12k on the old gen
    where did you purchase the points from? (Retailer, Console store, etc) Instant gaming
    The code was redeemed on the Console itself via the microsoft store

    @EA_Illium just to clarify this "help make the team aware of the issue and to further investigate"
    The problem is rather simple. There is a coding problem when redeeming the points. Before you press "confirm" it says what platform it goes to. Many people dont read that and i also in my case. The devs just needs to look there to begin with. Im not sure if the issue is an EA problem or xbox because as far im concerned xbox handles all code redemptions.

    i can see us getting screwed i’ve spent days trying to explain the issues to chat and ea through email and keep getting the same answer of points don’t transfer. They don’t understand or just don’t care that the issue is not related to us why the heck would i buy points for a console i don’t play lol.

  • I’m coming here cause I am beyond upset with EA they have ruined the experience 2 weeks later I have never received my Sauce Gardner or jjettas pre order items have been emailing them for over a week and they provide me with nothing but generic answers and no solution it’s so frustrating . Furthermore I bought 2800 points and they never showed went to current gen and I have a bunch of items I didn’t open on next gen on current gen Rookie premieres headliners stuff and it’s frustrating because they make the EA help in a way where you can never get an answer and get discouraged I go to my open cases and go to resume case and it just takes me to FAQS never lets me ever resume my case and EA will not give me a customer service grant for my points or my pre order items because they don’t care about the average customer so if they don’t get back to me I will be refunding every penny I spent on this game . I hope you guys find the answers or solutions you need but they do not care about us .

    If you upgrade to Xbox Series X|S or PS5, any content or progression that does not carry over from the previous version will still be available in your Xbox One or PS4 version. You can still access this content when you play the Xbox One or PS4 version of the game as long as you are playing this version on your Xbox One or PS4 console. If you play the Xbox One of PS4 version on your Xbox Series X|S or Gen 5 machine, the content will not transfer. IS THE ANSWER YOU WILL PROBABLY GET
