Bug where Toombs treats Shepard like they were on Akuze

When confronting Corporal Toombs as a War Hero Shepard and choosing the Paragon dialogue option, he treated my Shepard as if he was on Akuze, and the rest of the conversation played out like that.

  • That bug was in the original game. Kinda surprised it wasn't fixed.

Edit: maybe I should have mentioned: there's no fix, that's just how it is.

  • @Lexizion There IS a fix for this 14 years-old bug, actually. The mod 'ME1Recalibrated' fixed it just fine, it just makes Toombs skip the line if a player is War Hero or Ruthless.
  • Jesus this bug annoyed the hell out of me back in the original game. I'd have thought LE would have fixed it.

It's not just here I encountered botched Military background dialogue. When receiving the mission to help Major Kyle from Hackett he'll tell you you served with him even if you picked War Hero or Sole Survivor.

  • I just had this bug pop up as well. A known old bug seems like the kind of thing they'd want to fix in a "legendary edition"?

Yeah, I had this bug too. Minus Hacket telling me that I was on akuze (my character is colonist/war hero origin). However after paragon/renegade persuade comes up, Toombs starts to talk to me like I had sole survivor origin. To be honest, since my first character in OT was spacer/sole survivor, I didn't even knew this bug existed(my second character I can't even remember).

I have it twice, first in ME1 and then in the letter he sends you in ME2 and yet it's something that still carried over despite modders fixing it.
