Can't Download DLC

I'm having this same problem as well or at least something very similar.

I've downloaded the DLCs already through Origin but when I press the Ready to Install button nothing happens. I then close Origin and when I open it again, the downloads are no longer there and when I try to download them again, it asks for a language setting then does the Preparing Download thing then reverts back to the Download button.

I thought that that meant its already installed or something but when I tried to start a new game, Genesis 2 didn't appear after Character Creation.

I have a number of DLC properly installed.  I've been playing Mass Effect 3 off and on since it was released and I have most of the DLC.  However, I recently purchased firefight and alternative appearance dlc and I am getting this behavior inside of origin.  While running mass effect 3, it says I have these dlc installed.  However, I only see one of the new guns.  From origin, these two DLC packages have the download button beside them and clicking the button will briefly show the "preparing to download" and then switch back to the download button.  Other DLC packages that are listed as installed, I can right click and update the packages as well as test them.

I am also having this problem, and am seriously irked as to why its not working. Please can someone explain what I need to do?

I am seriously starting to get the impression that no one at EA seems to be actually reading this. I understand that this is by the community for the community, but considering I can't even use the damn live chat feature because the page links must be incomplete, because the button doesn't lead anywhere, so there's a broken link somewhere. So instead, I have to post about the inefficient and problematic digital download service run by people who have an inefficient and problematic website with seemingly non-responsive staff. So seriously, can someone from higher up sort this out please, I just want to download my DLC and play Mass Effect 3. Why is this made so difficult for no apparent reason?

Is there anyway I can somehow try and get this to the EA support attention, because their website chats don't work?

Can anyone give any advice to this thread please? It seems other people want an explanation as well as me (and even if they don't, then I make up for all of them)

It's not directly DLC-related, but I've found the whole thing of clicking 'install', waiting, then the button returning to 'install' is because the system thinks the program is already installed on your system.

What I'd personally suggest is this:

- copy all ME3 files to a backup folder

- uninstall ME3

- tell Origin to download and install ME3
. wait a few seconds and then pause the download

- copy your ME3 backup files back into the ME3 directory

- resume the download, which should thne start installing

That might help remove whatever obstacle Origin thinks is there. Of course it might not, but it's a relatively short process and won't chew up data.

Trying this method as we speak. I'll put the details up of what happened once I've tried it.

Alas no, nothing came of this. I am still unable to download the DLC, and when I did download the DLC, as it only allowed me to do it once, it refused to Install. But thanks for the advice, its more than anyone over at EA seems to be doing. I don't want to just mindlessly bash them, but when I can't even contact their live chats, because the website is incomplete and not formatted right, what do you expect? When the community have to provide blind shots in the dark for help because the actual support team are what seems to be ignoring the entire thing? I just want someone, officially to recognise this is a problem and it needs to be fixed. Oh and to play the **bleep**ing content I paid money for. That too.

Which DLC we are talking about? Is it your only DLC for ME3 or do you have others already installed?
