As someone who bought all games and DLC's on the day of their release, along with - i'm ashamed to say - quite a few ME3 'extra purchases', having to pay €60 for what boils down to an extended patch feels like a rip-off. Especially for those who have used Origin since its, well, origin, only having a discount for people on Steam who bought ME3 there almost feels like a betrayal.
I guess i can't do anything else but wait for a sale.
If nobody got a discount I would say: Okay just decide if it's worth for you or not.
But giving a discount to people on another plattform who didn't buy on day one is just unfair!
I bought ME3 N7 collectors Edition and all the dlc on Origin: No discount for me!
Other people bought just ME3 on Steam: 17% Discount.
If it is your policy to give advantages to people who prefer Steam over Origin and wait for baragins then fine no problem for me.
Now I know where to buy! I will just wait till the ME3 Special Edition is reduced on Steam in a few months. (If I'm still interested then)
Big part of me thinks it's Steam giving the discount out if their own pocket. EA are thinking they'll get full price per unit but Steam are willing to take a slight hit to make sure as many units as possible are sold through them...They're setting up to kill Origin...Either that or EA are just mean, dumb people....
It is Valve's shop, so it is of course Valves decision to grant the discount.
The point many are missing is that Mass Effect 3 is only available for less than a year on Steam.
So it is a discount for people that only very recently brought the game.
I have the original games + DLC plus Andromeda. I would also expect a 50% discount or something--so it's pretty disappointing. I'll wait until it goes on sale on Steam for the holidays.
Even the Master Chief collection was only $40 and included 6 games plus multiplayer, and I got it on sale for $30.
- @captainnemojr same here and ill be waiting for a sale too ☹️
Fanatical still has the collection with a 12% discount for those still holding out
eah. some discound would make sense. i also have all MEs, even N7 edition.
if there will be no discount or something, then ill wait until prices fall down.
why should i pay full price for something i already have, just for better textures and some changes
- @CronosusCZ It's ridiculous to pay full price for upgrade. And of course, shame!
Heh... The sheer amount of day-one bugs, people practically unable to play at all... On top of that, they have stated they might look into releasing it into EA Play (non-pro)... That's it... I'll be waiting until it comes on EA Play that I have on my Game Pass. Bye guys! Have fun looking at your desktop/crash logs/enemies running in circles/sound issues/crashing to dashboard whenever you activate a wireless headset on your console (I'm not joking). As I said on a previously deleted post that was removed just because it contained a specific word that is apparently prohibited (in spite of it being a joke, but hey... it was a smart joke, so it was fair for some not to understand it), I'll not be purchasing it at all. I salute you all who didn't purchase it on the pre-release window. As for y'all who purchased it, well... Have patience. Eventually all the bugs will be probably ironed out. Eventually. Probably.
PS.: Have you all heard they might bring MP back?
EDIT.: Typo
