Holy cow.. I just logged in to load up my ME: Legendary Edition to continue my playthrough, and it was gone, as if I'd never purchased it... I "almost" bought it again, thinking I had just mistaken getting it through EA Play or gamepass or something, but something in my gut told me to continue searching if anyone else had experienced this...
THANK YOU for posting this fix.. This saved me from repurchasing the game. Very much appreciate it.

@sadsuzuki Did you purchase it through the EA app or Steam?
Did you have EA Play any point before or after you bought the game? have you ever found a fix for this? im having the exact same issue.

@BurnedRope When you load up the EA app, MELE does not show up in your library, or the store when you search it?
Missing from the library would typically be a cache issue but missing from the store would be an entirely different issue like if you were in a region that didn't allow the game purchase.
I reformatted my PC over the weekend and did a brand new install of the EA app and all my games and I could see it.

This is still ongoing it seems. I bought Mass Effect Legendary Edition and it's been fine. But I recently subbed to EA Play Pro to have a go on FC25. In the meantime I also bought a new PC and now I cannot see Mass Effect Legendary Edition available after installing the EA App on my new pc. The Mass Effect entry showing up only shows the Standard edition. - Ilyarra1 year agoNew Novice
Those are a lot of hoops to jump through for an issue that has remained unfixed since it was reported three years ago. I get that fixing bugs isn't EA's strong suit, but you'd think they would actually get around to fixing at least one of them every few years. This is one I would pick personally. This and allowing the X button on the app window to actually close the app and not merely minimizing it. (of course, that is a feature, not a bug... but just as irritating).
One can only assume, since these issues are still very much a problem, that EA is more about the money than fixing anything the player base finds necessary. Granted, this realization doesn't surprise me. I don't think anyone who has dealt with EA for any length of time is surprised at the lack of interest in fixing much, especially if it isn't lucrative, and if it wasn't for the fact that I can't play my games any other way since Origin no longer works and the replacement is inferior in nearly every sense of the word, I would chuck this headache and never spend so much as a dime for an EA game again.
However, since that appears to not be an option, I will jump through hoops like a trained circus animal and see if I can't get something I paid hard earned money for to actually work in an app that wasn't necessary in the first place. If it ain't broke, don't fix it. And Origin wasn't broken, but this junk is.

@IngoingSquid5 Gotcha, so as long as you know and can verify you are on the right account, I would try the following and see if these help.
Go to the Control Panel
- Programs and Features
- Uninstall EVERY SINGLE Microsoft C++ Redistributable
- Download the EA App installer but DONT RUN YET
- go to https://learn.microsoft.com/en-us/cpp/windows/latest-supported-vc-redist?view=msvc-170 and download the appropriate architecture of the latest C++
- Install the C++ Package
- Go to Local Disk/Program Files/ Electronic Arts AND DELETE THE ENTIRE ELECTRONIC ARTS FOLDER
- Restart Computer
- Install EA App
Also these:
- Open task manager, locate EA Background Service, and end task
- Clear the cache for the EA app
- Check that the EA app is fully updated
- Run the EA app as an administrator
- Check for any background applications blocking the EA App
- Make sure the EA app or other launcher is closed.
- Press the Windows key and "R" at the same time.
- Type or copy and paste "%ProgramData%
- Navigate to Electronic Arts\EA Services
- In the license folder, you can delete all the files
As these are license files for older titles, you won't lose any progress or data.
Clear the cache for the EA app, and if the game has the option, repair the game and launch it again.
