Mass Effect 3 missing DLC (Pc)

I purchased the Mass Effect 3 2012 edition a couple of weeks ago and attempted to play the multiplayer, however all the dlc content was missing. When I contacted support the only solution they gave me was to uninstall the game and do a clean install, it's supposed to automatically download with the game but the only one that shows up in my "add-on" section is the extended cut. This problem seems to be a reoccurring issue on the forums, yet I haven't seen a concrete solution or fix from EA posted anywhere. Hopefully someone has an answer to this or at least a timeline for a fix.

    Please clear your temp files:

    • Press the Windows key and "R" at the same time
    • Into the new window, type or copy & paste:  "%temp%"   (Without the quotes.) > hit "ENTER"
    • Now your Windows Explorer should have brought you to the "C:\Users\>your user name<\AppData\Local\Temp" folder. > Delete all files and folders in it.
(If some files or folders can't be deleted, reboot and try again.)

    Then:

    • Go here and download "Revo Uninstaller". (The freeware version, Portable version works too.)
    • Run "Revo Uninstaller" > Uninstall ME3.
    • At the end of the main uninstall, Revo will ask you which cleaning method you want to use. > Select "Moderate" > Browse
    • If "Remaining registration content found" is displayed > Select All > Delete > Next
    • When "Remaining Data and Folders" is displayed > Select All > Delete
    • Run "Revo Uninstaller" > Uninstall EA Desktop.
    • At the end of the main uninstall, Revo will ask you which cleaning method you want to use. > Select "Moderate" > Browse.
    • If "Remaining registration content found" is displayed > Select All > Delete > Next
    • When "Remaining Data and Folders" is displayed > Select All (Make sure the "Origin Games" folder is not in the list) > Delete.
    • Restart the PC > Reinstall the newest version of EA app from here.
    • Reinstall ME3. > Test.
  • So far it seems to have not worked, all the dlc characters are missing from multiplayer (I did not check single player dlc yet). I'll test it a few more times and let you know if I get it working.

@Quality_Waffles Hey, I wanted to ask. When you log into MP, none of the characters you had show up? When you log in is it looking like you have never played at all?

    @EA_Shepard
Judging from @Quality_Waffles N7HQ, it looks like they have played 6 games. There are some credits and unlocked inventory. But:
    1) all challenges are at zero (which would be the case since Retaliation DLC isn't enabled).
    2) No gifted Reckoning gold character (since Reckoning DLC not enabled).

@DoctorDAM From experience, this happens when they are in the wrong account, they unlinked whatever platform they were on or they merged accounts. That data is all server-side and linked to your BioWare ID so it cannot just get deleted. On the chance there was an account merger or an unlink, that data would be gone. There is, sadly no undo on that one.

    Hi @EA_Shepard

Are we perhaps off-topic?  From my reading of the OP, the issue is just that he recently got ME3 and cannot get the DLC (as many others have reported).

Not that he had ME3 previously and lost his progress data (characters, etc.).

    Or perhaps I'm just confused.

@DoctorDAM I was reading the MP part and honestly read the whole DLC thing wrong. I was thinking about the issues with data being missing, Still should not happen in MP it just wouldn't allow you to use it.
  • Same exact problem here. The only DLC that shows up is the "extended ending".  After 3 weeks of EA asking for my email, EA ID and sending (or not, as that has happened twice) codes to verify it is me, they haven't even tried to fix the problem. It gets canned or shoved onto the next [removed]. (As an aside my son has a copy of the trilogy and just reinstalled it. He can't get any of the 3 DLC either.)  Sadly, there is no way to get a refund. Live and learn Never buying a code to download a game from EA again. Live and learn.

    (cm edit - removed language)

  • @EA_Shepard Sorry for not responding right away, I was fairly busy this week. But, @DoctorDAM is correct the issue I'm having is with the DLC being missing, not my character data. Honestly, I'm not sure why it works without the DLC, but I have had other players be able to join my MP matches before. From what I've read previously you used to be able to download the DLC separately from the EA website, not sure if it would work but if someone had the files I could try using them.
