I ran the Windows Update troubleshooter and it fixed some error.
DEP won't work on the EA App because it's a 64 bit .exe and it doesn't work on 64 bit.
No clue how to do either of the bash things.
I ran the EA App as admin and now it's just stuck on launching the game.
Community ManagerGaibaa Normally, when it does that, Windows Security, Defender, or Antivirus pops up in the background to allow it to run. If that isn't happening something is blocking this exe from launching.
I found a tutorial on how to completely disable DEP. I did so and it didn't change anything.
I went into my Windows Firewall settings and made sure that Steam, all the EA App exe's, and all the Mass Effect Legendary Edition exe's are allowed through the firewall.
How do I do the bash things you mentioned?
Community ManagerGaibaa You pull up the Windows start menu, type CMD, and run as admin
Then you literally just type each one and hit enter
It will look something like this
net stop wuauserv
net stop cryptSvc
net stop bits
net stop msiserver
net start wuauserv
net start cryptSvc
net start bits
net start msiserver
I did all that and now sometimes it will start but take a long time to actually do so. It doesn't work every time. When it does work I get a notification saying that the cloud save is out of date and asking if I want to use the cloud save or the local save.
