ME 1 LE minimizes to desktop after launch
hi everyone!
yesterday i re-installed MELE and played ME1 for a couple of hours with no issues. today I restarted it, but it keeps minimizing to desktop after launch.
I already tried everything i found online, but there's no way to make it run properly again.
- my save folder is on my local disk, not on onedrive, and always has been there since i still have the last run's saved games
- i tried to move the save folder to desktop but nothing changed
- setting the game priority to high didn't change anything
- i tried spam-pressing alt+enter to force borderless windowed mode when ME1 starts, but nothing happened
- I can't manually change it because my gamesettings file doesn't show but three lines that have nothing to do with fullscreen:

CompatLevelGPU=5- running the game in admin mode had no effect
- i closed any background apps to no avail
- nvidia experience doesn't interfere because it says that MELE can't be optimised from there
i don't remember having any issues the last time I played, and in the meantime the only thing that changed is that I updated to Windows 11.
any other option? i'm not a ME1 hater, so I'd rally love to play the trilogy from the beginning and make my own choices.
and by the way it's insane that I paid full price when MELE came out, but after all this time the same issues still persist.
