I too had this problem, I found the solution though. After loading yet another save I figured this is a fight so I should NOT enter my Nomad/Mako car and follow on foot, this I believe is what is causing the glitch. I duplciated this twice to make sure.

This can't be the solution though, not for everyone: I did everything on foot and I still got the bug where the conduit health is empty but the head still doesn't open.

I too am having this issue, but I followed the thing on foot. But I never went into the Nomad. I did have Jaal and was using the widow though. So I'll switch it up and update with my results.
- 9 years agoAfter at least ten attempts at this fight I have now completed it I approached the last seismic hammer on foot and remained on foot for the whole fight and did not even look at the nomad, I did have the widow still and it worked fine, I do think it's something to do with the nomad

Completed Architect on Eos, and I *was* riding Nomad meantime, so I guess it is something else.
Perhaps it is about sequence, i.e. You must damage the head hard enough / not too much between destroying its legs?
It reminds me some bugs in other games, where You are not supposed to kill someone at a given point of story, and low health triggers cutscenes, but in certain circumstances You are able to one-shot the foe, which breaks the game. Perhaps it is something similar, i.e. head damage must match the phase?

Excellent! I'll remember this when the encounter begins.
I was able to use the nomad during the Eos encounter, but i'll skip using it when I fight another one.

Thank you not entering Maco worked for me I was still able to use my Black Widow but I did not use disruptor ammo.

I have the glitch , destroying 2 of 3 conduits, and never touched the Nomad after planting the 3rd hammer.

I don't normally get angry with a game but Andromeda is just totally f****** up and the fact that they have decided on Auto-saves with certain missions, makes it difficult if not impossible to complete these bosses on harder levels. my Ryder is at level 97 with all level X stuff and mods and I barely do any damage, whereas elsewhere, the character is really OP.
The fact that it is now the end of July and they still haven't resolved it makes me question why I paid £55 for the pre-order but I really enjoyed the Mass Effect Trilogy and expected much more from Andromeda. The patches so far seem totally focused on the Multiplayer aspect and even that seems very flaky.
Maybe this will eventually get fixed but tbh this is just one of many issues and I so wanted to like the game. Oh well, just started The Witcher series, a proper rpg game!

I have to agree, even today, The game is riddled with bugs, I've had to skip the "Eos architect" because after taking out two of the legs and some of it's head, the thing takes off again and never returns to the ground, so I'm unable to kill it.
I run to as many places as possible but it still swings around in the air, ...never returning to the ground.
I've tried all possible workarounds mentioned within this thread and not one of them works for me.
Can we expect some type of fix for this?.... my thinking is NO, I personally feel the enjoyment in making this game awesome, Just isn't in the hearts of the coders any longer.

- 4 years ago@Hawkspian_II I'm the third poster in this thread back in 2017 and replaying this game as a continuation from the ME: Legendary Edition, I got it again on Voeld. Sigh...
Still don't know how to avoid it 100%. The accepted answer suggests to only follow on foot. Well, I entered the Nomad to follow the lil' * on Eos and the fight went fine.
