So I bought this game through steam and was able to play the first level in Mass Effect but when it got to the part where it played the cutscene for the citadel, it always crash (to the point where I would have to reboot my computer) . After trying several suggestions in this post with no luck, I tried uninstalling the game and then installing it on my C:/ and that seemed to fix the issue. When I first downloaded the game, I selected one of my secondary hard drives. I noticed that it installed Origin on my C:/ though as it didn't give me a choice of where to put it. Maybe it's possible that the game doesn't work properly if the game and origin are installed on separate drives? Either way, I hope this makes sense and maybe helps some of you all out there that are still having problems.
