First off, Holger, you really are a hero. Reading through these 20+ pages where you've been nothing but active in voluntarily helping others play these games is phenomenal. Great work, the community is very thankful!
I am currently having problems that sound similar to the ones others are experiencing, but I have not had similar success with the fixes I've read about here. Any time I attempt to launch the game through either Steam, Origin, or even the third-party launcher recommended elsewhere in this thread, I get the error message from EA stating my computer seems to be offline, and the game is therefore unable to launch. Maybe you or another astute reader can figure out what's going on?
Specific solutions I've tried: all of the solutions you posted in the post I've replied to, opening ports (443 TCP/UDP, 80 TCP, 8080 TCP), port forwarding, the EA-specific traceroute program (UO Trace), dozens of reboots, reinstalls, three hours of attempted fixes while on the phone with EA customer service, etc. etc. etc. So far: nothing. UO Trace file attached for reference.
Any help, to include just reading this post, is greatly appreciated. Thank you, guys!
