This Devil's Run special event is like "Racing for your life" in Need For Speed The Run. Anyone played Need For Speed The Run before? If you did, then you would know what I'm talking about.
Need For Speed The Run involves competing against 150 racers (with cops as disruptions) to win the jackpot.
Devil's Run special event involves competing against 100 racers (with cops as disruptions) to win the jackpot.
In Need For Speed The Run, people will either gain a set amount of positions or make up for lost time. People can't do the previous event they just finished as they're racing for their lives.
In Devil's Run, people will either gain a set amount of positions or make up for lost time.
I don't think there will be any races that can be replayed in Devil's Run special event as it doesn't make any sense doing a race that you already gained positions for.
Here's an example. You're supposed to be gaining positions to be 1st at the end of the special event, not to gain 3 positions to 97th and then race again to gain the exact same 3 positions to 97th. It doesn't look very good for its story.
If there are races that can be replayed, it will most likely be the races to "make up for lost time". Those would be Time Trials and Nitro Rushes. However, I still doubt those races can be replayed as well when you're supposed to be making up lost time and not to frolic around. Again, it won't look very good for its story.
Hopefully I'm wrong, but I won't be surprised if I'm right.
Devil's Run special event will bring me some Need For Speed The Run nostalgia feels, but Need For Speed The Run is a lot more intense when you're racing for your life. 😉
@TheRealJony yeah that makes sense, as i said though, lets hope we wont have to spend gold
on the topic of spending gold to complete the event, i was thinking rather than buying bps at 450 each, how about buying epic parts at 400 each once you're at 4 stars? thoughts?
I can understand the logic, but SE without any replays is somewhat strange. The difference one can make by playing is really negligible.

@richieluv76 My recommendation would be to buy Lamborghini Diablo SV blueprints than to buy Epic performance parts, just as scottfollett had said.
But in the end, it's up to you. 😉

There will def be replay events...
@scottfollett Don't be too sure.

they will probably be events that don't involve moving up in the standings...
And those would be Time Trials and Nitro Rushes when you're supposed to be "making up for lost time". However, you're doing what it says which is to "make up for lost time". You're not supposed to sit around, drink a cup of tea, and treat those as Sunday drives. You're in a rush to finish Devil's Run in 1st place.
Have you played Need For Speed The Run before?
Devil's Run is exactly like Need For Speed The Run, but with less intensity.
@TheRealJony @scottfollett i appreciate your input and i think on the whole i agree with both of you, but here's my thoughts behind it,
1/ if previous events are anything to go by, to max out the car will require buying 8 * bp packs from the event store which works out to 3600 gold
2/ in previous events to have any chance of completing the event you have to farm replay events like a mad man to earn enough credits/parts to increase the pr enough to reach the end, but this event appeas to not have replay events
3/ now lets assume that firemonkeys are going to screw us on this event, i believe that there will come a point where parts/materials/bps will need to be purchased from the event store
4/ if your primary concern is completing the event and can live with having to wait for the extra bps then 6 * epic parts is only 2400 gold and will give a massive pr increase (hopefully enough to complete the event) and still allow room for installing any materials earned throughout the event
dont get me wrong, i'd rather not have to spend gold to complete the event, i'm just thinking which would be the "best investment"
