I'd say it's because of all the scenarios like this, where botched, badly made products are released, driving more and more people to either demand Demos of the games ( I wonder how many sales NFS:MW 2012 would've lost if it had a demo and that stuttered like the game does?) Or pirate them outright, contributing to the growing "Piracy Figures" - Most of that is probably China, IMHO.
On a related note; Even going "Screw this!", jamming SweetFX in the game install, tweaking that, and then getting it to run, bearably, at 45FPS mean @ 720P hasn't solved the other big issue: Online sucks. The gameplay is nice, but could there please be some fix to the fact I can drive near someone and instantly take them down due to lag?
This is why Peer to Peer doesn't really work, people.
Friends list is also broken. I can be talking to people in the game, just cruising about in Single Player, and yet Autolog 2.0 seems incapable of even realizing they're online. Let alone in game. The game also has a nasty habbit of randomly booting you from a game and going "Lost connection to other players" Could I have more of an explanation? Did the country they were in just get Nuked? Someone crush the little black box with the blinking red light on it? The idiot hosting use a Lagswitch? Autolog itself also seems to disconnect left, right and centre, and that can boot you from a game if it occurs too.
I find myself wondering if there was any kind of testing of the PC version of this game. Did they start it up, see that it started and didn't look like an Acid Trip, then just call it a day? Quality Control must've been sat with the heads lodged firmly up their asses for that process.
