Re: Drag Racing question's.

Thank's because at 1st I thought it was another game glitch. So it's just another one of those " Dev decisions that make you go hmmm" things. I'm aware of mid engine cars being able to do wheelies. NHRA Dragsters are mid engine and they do wheelies. Supercars doing wheelies though is why I thought it was absurd. I don't view them as torque monsters like Muscle cars and so i find it dumb.

The torque can be increased via tuning, muscle cars don't have enough torque to pull a wheelie off the factory line either. It's not technically impossible for midships to do wheelies, but the ones featured in this game were designed to stay glued to the ground so they'd need insane amounts of rear torque to break off, which they don't seem to have (especially the Regera).

The Dodge Challenger Demon is a Muscle car that can pull a stock wheelie off the line without tuning and I'm pretty sure back in the day others could..But I could be wrong.  But you see my point that it's silly that these Supercars in game are pulling wheelies. Might as well stick them in the Off-Road class as well since this is a video game after all.

For the tuning part. I think i'm going to try maybe some with the outlaw and then others with the brand for acceleration. My brain think's drag cars are all about accelerating and the race class should be all about top speed. Either way it is a waste of game money to deal with drag cars after you beat the story. The only cars that matter are Race, Off-Road and Drift from what I can tell by doing speedlists. So thank's for the info

Yeah the Challenger is basically the Call of Duty of the sports car industry: build quality is rubbish, performance is rubbish, optimization is nonexistent and each new version is basically the same as the last one but males between the ages of 16 and 24 buy them anyway because it gets their testosterone levels up. Occasionally they also release a limited edition that comes in an extra thicc package, costs three times as much and drops in value faster than an old-gen game console.

Regarding the tuning, you should try to max out your top speed before anything else. The acceleration on drag cars is already good enough to reach top speed halfway through the race for most cars, even without perks that affect it.

Well, actually you should max out your nitrous power before anything else, but that's true for every class not just drag. Wouldn't be a Need For Speed game if the cars didn't run on nitrous.

To the US? Good luck, they have some of the most absurd motor vehicle laws in the world. Only in the US is a hunk of overpriced scrap metal like the Challenger Demon deemed perfectly safe to drive when it can't even keep all 4 wheels on the ground, yet a legendary AWD car like the R34 GT-R is deemed "unsafe" to drive because it has nearly perfect power-to-weight ratio and the steering wheel is on the wrong side.

It was pretty clear he didn't know what he was talking about. Also bashing the country was uncalled for. Bashing some of our stupid laws would be no big deal and not be taken as a personal attack though. The achievement on the Challenger Demon is that it was the 1st legal drag car built in America. So it achieves it's purpose and set world records while doing it.

Canada has stupid strict crash test rules so that why a lot of stuff wont make it here from your neck of the woods not because the wheel is on the left side. We have imports here that are left hand drive but they have to be 15 years or older so. 

Now that we settled the whole Regera mistake. Are they going to let us go head to head drag racing online. If so i'll start practicing with a STOCK Challenger to take on a STOCK R34 Skyline.

In real life my money would be on the Dodge Challenger Demon embarrassing a Nissan R34 Skyline at the drag strip. R34's weren't specifically built from the factory to go drag race on a friday and saturday and then go back to work as a daily driver the following week  That is another achievement that Dodge set and achieved with the new Challenger Demon. Want me to go find any more?  Or is it perfectly clear that claiming they achieved nothing by building that car was a foolish comment.

Now back to our normally friendly atmosphere on the forums.

Here we are competing to make a road legal sports car that can beat the communists' time on the Nurburgring and we have to stop to give applause to SRT for making a car that can drive 400 meters really fast. If I wanted to bash the US it really wouldn't be that hard, especially given the amount of blind patriotism being displayed in this thread at the present time. If you really want to show filthy foreigners like me how good you are at being an anime American, at least have some standards and pick someone who actually deserves it, like Hennessey or Ford.

Somehow I doubt the R34 driver would be crying himself to sleep every night after that. Firstly because he can actually drive back home in the same car without having to make three stops at the gas station, secondly because even if he never manages to win a single drag race his car will still appreciate in value, and lastly because while it might not stand a chance on a 400 meter piece of straight road against the Demon, it will annihilate it pretty much everywhere else.

In the EU you can drive pretty much anything as long you're willing to pay the taxes. I can't think of any road cars that are explicitly banned in any EU country, although Germany passed a law a while back that permits cities to ban diesel cars if they deem the levels of air pollution to be too high, which is fine by me.

I made a comment about a race and I'm well aware a snowflake would be driving the R34 and those are the one's that would go cry to mom they lost. Are you aware that at 1 point in history Lamborghini was owned by Chrysler? Probably not since you think it's some big deal that Fiat now controls Chrysler and yes some of their products are made in Mexico.  You also might get small things imported from other places to make an automobile or are you not aware of that?

Sure a stock Challenger Demon could beat a stock R34 GT-R on the quarter mile with little effort since it has twice as much power, but that's not how drag racing works. Put the Challenger Demon against a tuned RB26DETT with the same power output and you'll be eating Skyline dust for breakfast.

It also depends on if the driver has a clue on how to race his car or not. So it's not only the car you have to beat but the driver also.

Yea he is dogging hard and probably think's we will get upset. That's my guess since he want's me to pull out that stupid "RACE CARD". That won't work since i'm pretty sure he's not an alien from another planet. I got my answer that it wasn't a game glitch about the Regera but instead a design flaw. Now this guy want's to gripe and moan about useless nonsense. He must not realize we are used to getting all the hate. So for me at least. His stupid griping about how America is so bad and aweful is just going in one ear and out the other. 

I wish he would preach this garbage to Mexicans. Then we wouldn't need a wall to put an end to illegal immigration. He could stop it for us by preaching his hate for America which could save us a ton of money.

No its not a gimmick. Its a limited edition production car that happens to be a factory 9 second drag car. Its meant to be a commemoration to the old school production drag cars from the 60s. Also, considering Moonshine in Ethanol, you can already run cars off Moonshine with the right fuel/ignition parts.

I'm not throwing a fit. You're just being ignorant and cant see the fact that the car is not a gimmick and it is a great achievement in American automotive history. You're blind by Europe's obsession with The Nurbugring and cant accept the fact the cultures are different between the US and Europe. We focus on drag racing, Europe focuses on road racing. Obviously you didn't otherwise you would know that its not exactly safety that causes cars to not be eligible for legal importing. We have safety and emissions standards, whats so wrong with that? If you want to blame someone for the rules, blame Mercedes Benz for it. They are the reason for the importing laws in the first place.
