Matchmaking In WoC

There are a lot of unbalanced matchmaking going on this year and it’s really putting a damper on the game. I understand that the game will have a larger pool of players to match make with in the coming months but it’s currently wrecked. Very rarely will you be placed in a match with players that are near you in skill level. Meaning the discrepancy between your team and your opponents teams ranking points are MASSSIVE. This forces teammates to often quit the game because they can’t keep up with that play style. The largest gap I’ve seen so far was 13,000 RP. That’s totally unrealistic and unreasonable. I’ve never even had one game where everyone was within the same rank.

If they want more people playing this game and make matchmaking good again they have to make the game fun again like it was in nhl 23 and before . Change back controls and hitting and stuff like that . There is so many people that has stopped playing this game including myself since nhl 24 came out

I’m in a league, so obviously we want to rep our NHL logos for our teams (made my own discussion post about that here) but grinding for club bags has us 95% of the time (when we actually grab a game) matching up with big D sweat monsters. It’s just not worth the grind. I’d rather just run whatever BS logos I have. Matchmaking is TRASH.

  • The key word here is "matchmaking". And to follow that up, what's really made sense about some of the subtractions over the last several years?

It's not an overly thorough look, but there's a list of "but why?", and there's another list of "because we can".

Ladies and gentlemen, realistically and collectively, there is absolutely no chance that our "financial involvement", into this series, is going to result in either making this a number 1 and/or go-to game, once we start up our consoles. Nope. For some, they eat this cluster*&$# all day long, no questions asked, unless it's asking for seconds, thirds, etc. And for others, including myself, it's an absolute embarrassment of actual hockey plays, and majorly nonsensical.

Personally, and in The Division 2, I have played 4274 hours. The Division (1), I'm at roughly half of the hours. Meaning, playability, new DECENT content, less worry about a graphic-appeasing/useless engine, and a long list of why I continue to play this game. Oh, and it came out in 2019. And the best part, as much as I respect Mr. Lahey (John Dunsworth), you don't have to be "right in the pocket" to play and have fun with it. With the current EA SPORTS NHL series, being "right in the pocket" is expected, and playing and having fun with usually requires more drinky poos....
