Cannot enter game with my club

PSN: TheWeinerback

I have no problems getting into quickplay or drop-ins. Every time I try to get into a game with my club, we load into the lobby with the other club, we get the "starting game" dialogue, and then my screen stays on my player model while everyone elses goes to the loading screen with an NHL player on it. The game never starts for anyone until I force close my app. There is some sort of connection hangup here. There have been absolutely no changes to my network at all whatsoever. This started four or five days ago. Had no issues at all up until now.

I'm seeing absolutely no other reports of this anywhere, and have gone through all typical troubleshooting methods. NAT isn't an issue. Firewalls aren't an issue. Connection quality isn't an issue. It's explicitly when entering club games with my club.

Hello. How are you trying to enter the lobby? Are you joining by navigating through the menus or are you joining from an invite? Also, is everyone else also on PS or are there Xbox players on your club?

If you haven't done it yet, I'd like you to power cycle your equipment with the following steps: unplug your modem/router and console. After 2 minutes plug in the modem/router. Let them come back online completely. Then plug in your console and start it up. Let me know if that helps or not. Thanks!

    Hey Aljo,

To answer your questions for future reference/help with others,

    1. In this case, we were all PSN
    2. We tried multiple ways, i.e. via menus or via an invite
    3. I did power cycle my equipment before posting here

However, I believe I may have resolved it in the short term. It appears there's another connectivity issue specific to AT&T users. Ultimately, I tried a few different things I was seeing in posts about other games with the same kind of symptoms (can only not connect in some instances, no error code displayed, etc.) and what worked for me was setting my primary DNS on my console to 8.8.8.8 and secondary to 8.8.4.4 -- it appears there's some hangup between the servers and DNS settings. All is well for now. Anecdotally, this change also generally sped up connections and navigation between different online modes in-game across the board.

    All good for now--thanks Aljo!

Thanks for those details. Really glad to hear that worked for you. I'll keep it in mind for others as well. Let me know if it pops up again. Good luck and have fun!
