Goalie un-playable with high ping

How am I supposed to play goalie at all when the ping is always 70+? I can't react to anything in time because by the time my goalie moves over, the play has already moved ahead two steps, leading to numerous goals. This is especially frustrating when dealing with breakaways and not only frustrates me, but my teammates. 

It's hard enough to find a game. I'm still waiting for the game I get where my ping is at least in the green.

People, including myself, want to continue to play this game for some reason, but nothing gets done to make the play experience even remotely enjoyable.
