Be a Pro - AI defensemen

Question

Please fix the behavior of the defensemen when forwards try to help win a puck battle. If I'm playing as a forward and I go into the corner in my zone to help with a puck battle, one of my defenders peels off to play forward and wait at the blueline for an outlet pass. It's brutal.

In a tight game, the last thing I need is a stay at home defenseman to try to lead a rush (assuming I help win the puck battle). I guess they are programmed to cover any open man if it looks like the human player changes coverage, but please improve this response. Or give us more control over man/zone defense in BaP.

Positively, the defense AI is much better than last year where defenders would skate directly into their own corner for no reason and get pinned to the boards.

Hey there. The AI will move around to cover the open ice. So, if a player is out of position, an AI is going to move in to take their place.
Are you also adjusting your strategies throughout the game?

Thanks EA_Aljo​, not sure what you mean by adjusting strategies in BaP mode. You mean the forecheck/breakout buttons? I don't mess with those too much.&nbsp;I understand the AI will try to move to other positions when you're out of position, it just doesn't make sense in this case. It would be super weird in a real game if a forward came back to help to prevent a goal in a close game and the defender just bailed on the play and skated up ice. Know what I mean?&nbsp;

Sorry about that. I don't think you can adjust strategies on BaP.

Yes. I get that. The AI isn't going to be perfect, but they will play better when everyone stays in position. Of course, there are times playing out of position is going to happen. The AI are going to adjust though and try to cover what they are perceiving to be threats.

Just admit it EA ..to make the a.i good is too complicated..not a knock just the reality I see.. you try to make them play this perfect game but it makes it so unorthodox and weird that it ruins the whole game. Everyone I know basically refuses to play with any AI in the game in world of chel... Alot of misses here&nbsp;
