But keep in mind that not everything pointed out here is feedback. There are some skill issues that don't warrant gameplay changes by development.

In this situation, I’d angle the puck carrier into either making a lateral move and hit them with a well-timed manual poke check as they try to cross my lane or to force an innacruate pass that will cause a subsequent one-timer to be less accurate.
Also - your goalie will know if you've decided to pressure the puck carrier into making a forced pass and they will 'cheat' in order to save the incoming one-timer.
