NHL Graphic issues

POV: It’s 2026 and EA releases a product that costs €70+ (€100+ for the pre-order), and this is what their graphics department and development team deliver!

An entire year just to add Celebrini talking in Be a Pro, and some new ways to build your team in hut, I can see why this kind of stuff gets deprioritized, it doesn’t exactly make you money to get things polished or done right (🤧 pay-to-win, right?).

Sure, you release games close to each other, and people have high expectations for changes, but the foundation is already there every year. The fact that some of these issues haven’t been fixed in a whole year, and even date back to NHL 24, is honestly laughable.

I understand that once the game is released and issues start appearing, not everything can be fixed immediately. But by April, you’d expect some effort at least. Offline players’ opinions usually don’t seem to matter anyway.

The fact that this is still a problem in 2026 suggests a lack of competence within the team. Helmets don’t fit properly, some players look like they’re wearing XXL helmets, which looks ridiculous, and face scans like Tyler Bertuzzi (and others)… who exactly did you scan? 😂

I really hope this gets fixed for the next game, otherwise I’m going to lose it. This has been an issue for two years now. Hopefully this gets noticed, thanks 🙏🏻.

I very much agree with this! I don't know how the game creation process works, but things going through things they shouldn't, is that really that hard to fix? The game knows that players are not supposed to skate through the boards, so why does sticks go through? And helmets that cover hair... why don't they cover it properly?

Is it somehow considered a waste of hardware resources to not make things act like they should and take a shortcut? Most of the time we might not look close enough to notice these things, but when you think about it, it's a sad look, especially with a lot of stuff looking great, only to be taken down to Earth by the rudest of weaknesses. A chain isn't stronger than it's weakest link, as the expression goes.

Same thing with the faces, which might be decent scans, but often the face shape seems off, and the Bertuzzi example above does seem to suffer from that. At least he has something like his face in the game, but he does kind of look like a Temu-version of himself.
