Be a pro won’t let me continue due to salary perks!

I am currently in the Stanley cup finals in my first season of be a pro. I am playing on ps5. While simming between games the salary perk window popped up and showed that I’m over budget. I removed all I could, however there is one perk it won’t let me remove it is the “scent creator” for $175000. It won’t let me remove it and is leaving me at $80,000 spent and only $47,376 available. Due to this it will not allow me to continue with my be a pro due to being “over budget”. This is very upsetting because like I said I am in the middle of my first Stanley cup final in be a pro and now all of a sudden I cannot continue.

i have attached a photo. I really hope I am able to continue and not have to start over again as I have no older save I can go back to.
