The franchise freeze problem is major and its killing the mode right now.
Its always triggered by a grudge match incoming. As soon ad you end a game or sim and the next game is a grudge match the game freeze completely. If you have a backup save you can load it, if you dont its over with this franchise. Im always creating new save file and deleting old one to prevent losing all the data if/when the bug happens.
Hopefully a fix will be made soon because for franchise player this is really bad
