I appreciate that but having a player able to rejoin the match and then making them sit on the bench until the next whistle so the game can sync the same way it does at the start of a match would solve that issue. Every person I play with plays on hardwired connections and we play in leagues and in highly-skilled division 1 clubs that suffer massive disruptions and cause a lot of serious frustration from odd disconnections. If a player is disconnecting constantly then yes, that's a problem for the player to figure out but we have plenty of people who will be disconnected through issues outside of their control once in every 5 to 10 matches, either as an ISP issue or a console hardware/EA server-side crash or disconnect who would benefit greatly from being able to rejoin mid-match when we know they won't be disconnecting again for the rest of the night. The leagues that players create and run in their free time, alongside LG hockey, are the main reason that world of chel even has a competitive scene and a feature that currently exists in so many games deserves to be here.
Players would much rather wait 30 seconds each time someone disconnects and rejoins for the game to sync than to have to quit out of a game entirely to allow them to rejoin or to play through a game missing a defenceman or center that causes them to struggle profusely for the remaining 2 periods.
