Why Is Discipline Dropping Each Off-Season?

Hi EA Community,

I don't know if I'm putting this in the right thread; sorry in advance.

While playing Franchise Mode, I stumble on this issue every single off-season where the majority of my players (like 3/4 of them) have their discipline stats going down from -3 to -5. I looked online to see what could make that issue happen, but there was no clear response that I could find.

It makes me quit my franchise file altogether since my team is doing so many penalties and they aren't performing at the top of their ability. I always have 74 to 78 team chemistry every season.

I wanted to know if it was a game issue because it happened on NHL25 as well or if it was something that I was doing wrong during the season that was making my players drop in Discipline attributes.
