TS4_x64.exe - System Error

    Hey all, can you try installing the most up to date version of VC++ to see if it helps.

     

    You can find the latest version on the Microsoft website: https://support.microsoft.com/en-us/help/2977003/the-latest-supported-visual-c-downloads

     

    You need to install both of the following:

    • vcredist_x86_vs2015 (for 32bit Windows version)
    • vcredist_x64_vs2015 (for 64bit Windows version)

    If you get the message that the files are already installed, select Repair instead. It is recommended to run the installer as administrator (right-click the file, select run as admin).

We've just protected your file. TS4_X64.EXE is trying to change or delete the file GameVersion.txy in your protected  My documents folder..

Block app or allow  app?

Never had this happen before..

@kelz_cruze  Allow it through.  GameVersion.txt stores the current game version, and Sims 4 needs to write to that file as well as everything else in Documents\Electronic Arts\The Sims 4.  Otherwise, the game won't even open.

    @puzzlezaddict Hey, I didn't know I shouldn't block it, so I did not know that it should not be blocked, so me without knowing it I block them and two days later I was no longer able to open sims 4 ( I do not authorize the TS4_x64.EXE file ... to remove the gameversion.txt file ...) someone can help me and sorry for the writing I do not speak English

      @pogo401  Try running Origin and Sims 4 as an admin: right-click on each shortcut, or the original .exe (Origin.exe and TS4_x64.exe) and select "Run as administrator."

      If that doesn't help, what antivirus do you use?  You may need to manually change its settings, and some programs have multiple settings that affect Sims 4.
