I'd argue it's not based on random dispersion at end game. If one is fully specced, leveled, and attributes put in the right place, one does not see much randomness at all while the swing is on EASY (which correct me if I am wrong, is the setting on all competetive online modes). If you switch the swings to HARD, I will agree some randomness is introduced, but not really sufficient enough to impact scoring dramatically.
You are not wrong with what you are saying. The issue is you shouldn't be punished for executing a good shot. Because of the amount that RNG plays in this game, it takes away the skill early in the game and then makes everything too easy once you are fully levelled up.
The system was poorly conceived, without any fore thought... like a lot of how this game was developed. Or rather, some of the ideas are not terrible... but the execution of them were awful.
Like they just jumped in feet first without thinking how it should actually work. But if they did flesh it out and everything they did is as intended... then I am truly speechless.
