In PVZ2, when your coin amount hits the int limit, your coins become negative.

Just wondering, would you mind telling us how did you get to this amount of coins?

It’s the same for me but it’s my gems my gems just went completely negative and now I can’t buy anything with gems only with my coins this makes playing the game very difficult to play if I can’t buy anything with my resources.

It's called the resources doubling bug, has been a recurring problem for years, but there is a way of stopping it before the coins hit zero and EA HELP CENTER are the only people who can reset your resources levels.

Unfortunately, i forgot what it is so i suggest that if you need to know, you start by doing a Google search for the resources doubling bug.
