Re: Plants vs Zombies 2 progress lost - how to recover

Does anyone have an email address to contact them? I have tried their bot it is useless. I have my player ID. I have been playing this game for over 10 years. I have 197 out 199 plants and many of them over m10 or higher. I am in the Jade League in tournaments. I have already completed all of the Penny's Pursuit. I have unlocked Arena. I had over 350,000 coins or more plus a lot of gems. I am so disgusted. I did register with them 3 different times and got codes each time. They should have my info. But, I can't get ahold of anyone (human) that can probably easily recover all of my info. I re-registered again tonight and got another code. I signed up for an EA account (used same credentials since it wasn't recognizing my email address anyway). I am lost and need help. If anyone can point me in the right direction it would be much appreciated. Thanks in advance. I tried replying to one of the codes email that was sent to me. But, no response.

    @A02E70C1 You can file a case in the Help Center and provide your player ID in the case. Depending on the EA advisor handling your case, it can take a few hours to a few days to recover your lost profile.

    I am in the UK region and there used to be both email and livechat options, now there is only livechat.

    @rainhaven2050 Thank you for trying to help. Where can I open a case on their site? I just sent a personal message asking this question. I'm not sure if this is right.

    @MAGICDAVESHROOM Unfortunately, the chat is useless. It is just a bot that I can't get past to reach a human. It is restricting to 100 characters and constantly saying I don't understand what you are asking. Thank you for trying to help though.

    The following steps are based on web browser on my computer, the same page on the phone could look different.

    1. Go to https://help.ea.com/en/help-home/
    2. Search for "Plants vs. Zombies 2" in Game support text box, click it.
    3. Select "I need help restoring my progress in the game"
    4. Click "Chat with us", fill in necessary information, including your player ID, and start a live chat with EA advisor.
    5. If you're able to reach a live advisor and he/she is experienced on this kind of issue, you should get your progress recovered in a few minutes. If the advisor is inexperienced and said he/she will report this issue, close the chat and start a new one.
    6. If you cannot get hold of a live person, the chat will be saved as an open case and accessible from "My Cases" on top of web page. You can resume the case any time, which should start a live chat session again (I'm not 100% sure on this, it seems EA changed the Help Center UI again recently).
    7. DO NOT chat with the bot at the lower right corner, it's useless.

    @rainhaven2050 Thank you for the very detailed info. I appreciate all of your hard work to make screenshots for me. A stranger. Thank you for your kindness.I finally got a chance to talk to a Sunita. I have a case number, but the person I spoke to is new. They mentioned they'll pass my information to the technical team, who will email me, which doesn't sound very promising. But, now I kind of know how to talk to a live person with your great help. I hope I can get lucky and get a person with knowledge next time. Especially if he doesn't follow through. Thank you for the tip to end the conversation if they want to report the issue.

    I suspect that EA has cut costs by using a cheap A.I. to handle complaints instead of an indian call center.

    When i put in my last complaint, about 6 months ago about 300 missing aquavine seeds, EA help had an email option but kept on closing my complaints down without resolving my issue.

    Eventually they closed it as fixed and it hasn't been.

    EA HELP CENTER is currently useless and probably broken.

    I am annoyed. 😠

    I’m happy to share that I got a Kumam-James, and he restored my game. Everything is back. I do hope you can get help too. I do feel your frustration. I reported this Sunday, and finally I got the right person on Friday, and it is solved. Good luck to everyone who loses their progress in the game.
