Everytime my friend joins my game session it crashes my game and when I join him it fails to join. We have tried re-downloading the game and resetting modems routers. Anyone else have this or know what is causing it?Edit: Just to add this only happens when 1 of my friends join me. Seems like all my other friends can join except the that just crashes everyone's game. I have had him go through every troubleshooting method possible so far and still no change.

Same here. No matter what I tried I cant seem to connect to my girlfriend without crashing. Also, I have tried all methods of troubleshooting - I could list them if you'd like but I am by no means exaggerating when I say all means of troubleshooting.We also had no issues with PvZ1, we played Garden Ops countless of times, this is only recent with the current edition of the game or an error on EA's server.

@EA_JenniThe problem is linked to a certain handful of people. What happens is that those certain people cause anyone to crash when hosting/joining the backyard.So if that person A attempts to join or host Person B, then Person B will immediately crash everytime. This occurs on Xbox One and has happened during the Beta phase but was able to be resolved with quick troubleshooting. However, now nothing and I literally mean NOTHING on our end in terms of troubleshooting has fixed this issue. It has lingered and has made it unplayable with friends we wish to play with.Also to reiterate, Person A is able to play online, on any game without issue. However, this title, restricts Person B from connecting.We have tested this amongst ourselves in the forum to no avail, with multiple scenarios being the very same. Leading us to suspect that network issues on EA are the culprit.

So, not sure what happened but long-story short... it FINALLY works!!! I finally connected to my girlfriend, we just decided, "hey why the heck not, lets try again". Next thing you know, I am joining here game and we are both in the Backyard without issue.I will note that I joined her via notification invite and that a few days back I was contacted by @Popcap_JaGo as I assume the rest of you were. Otherwise, we are playing at the moment without issue - which is so amazing! Finally!!! After so long... I can enjoy this amazing game.... so great... :eahigh_file:If anything changes I will post immediately, also update confirming we are free from problems.I hope everyone is good too.As for whatever the fix was,Thank you.

Hey friend,
I ran into the same thing, they told me to reroute my IP address to another address but I don't think that is the case. It has to be in-game related. I'm also on Xbox.

Yeah, their support team. Don't think it would help though or rather, don't think that's the root of the problem.

No sadly. We have tried deleting the game deleting the saved game file incase it was corrupted and re-downloading, tried port forwarding his ip address. Tried clearing the cache. Nothing has worked. It's odd cause he can use the portal to play multi-player but can't join friends or friends can't join him in the backyard.

Yes we had him try from a second account. We have also had him try to join several people.

Exactly the same problem here. But one of us have the 10 hours trial version. We are now afraid of buying a second copy.
